Terms of service

Use the workshop as casual logic practice

Free browser puzzle

Unique Strip Lab provides free single-player puzzles without an account, subscription, or purchase. By using the site, you agree to act lawfully, avoid interfering with the service or security controls, and avoid presenting the site as an accredited assessment, official algorithms curriculum, or affiliated copy of another puzzle collection.

Rule-specific solver claim

“Unique solution” means that the included enumerator found exactly one exact cover under the published rule: straight contiguous strips of length one through three, reversal-normalized two-color signatures, full cell coverage, and no repeated signature. The claim does not cover alternative rules, visual interpretations, or later modified grids. Unit tests are evidence of implementation behavior, not a mathematical warranty immune from every software defect.

No grade or promised outcome

Completion and hint totals are casual feedback. They are not a grade, certification, psychological result, validated aptitude test, or guarantee of improved reasoning. Teachers may use the puzzle as a discussion prompt but remain responsible for context, supervision, accessibility, and formal evaluation.

Original materials and permitted use

The brand, writing, level grids, UI, source implementation, solver, generated production visual, and hint system are project materials. The abstract partition rule and general mathematical methods remain free to discuss and implement. You may link to and play the public site. Do not copy substantial visual or written materials in a way that falsely claims authorship, endorsement, or affiliation. Third-party libraries retain their stated licenses.

Availability, local progress, and links

The site is provided on an “as available” basis. Browsers, pointer behavior, storage, and hosting can differ or become unavailable. Local progress may disappear when site data is cleared and cannot be restored by the operator. Optional analytics follows the Privacy Policy. External links use third-party services with their own terms.

Liability and support

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for indirect loss arising from reliance on a casual puzzle, temporary unavailability, or deletion of local progress. Rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected. Report a reproducible defect or rights concern through the Contact page. Continued use after a posted revision means the updated terms apply from their new effective date.
